BABY DEDICATION
We are excited about your decision to humbly point your child to absolute Hope, and we want to celebrate with you and your family!
Our Baby Dedications are their own, stand-alone events where you, your family and friends come together with other families at Journey to celebrate your decision to dedicate your child. We want to help create a special and unique experience for you and your family to mark a moment in your life where you decide to partner with each other, Journey Church, and God to raise your child.
We want to help you prepare for the big day, and all you need to do is take these 3 easy steps:
STEP 1: REGISTER ONLINE
Select the Baby Dedication you'd like to be a part of below and follow the link to the registration page. We will contact you to confirm your reservation and to get you signed up for one of our Parent Orientations. We’ll also provide you with personalized invitations to send out to your family and friends.
STEP 2: PARENT MESSAGES & WRITTEN KEEPSAKES
These three parenting messages will help you focus on the things that matter most in your child’s future and will inspire some special keepsakes for your child’s dedication.

MESSAGE 1: Imagine the End by Family Pastor Don Gentry

You are the spiritual leader in your home and your child’s greatest guide in understanding what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

MESSAGE 2: Make It Personal by Lead Pastor Matt Dawson

The most important relationship in your house is your marriage and it’s the one that will lead to your child’s emotional health and confidence in life.

MESSAGE 3: It’s a Partnership by Don Gentry

LISTEN NOW

When your children walk out the door to face their futures as adults, what are the values you will have instilled in them? This message will help you to think with the end in mind.
STEP 3: ATTEND A PARENT ORIENTATION
When you register, we will have you choose from one of our parent meetings that will be offered before the Baby Dedication. It is important to note that attending a Parent Orientation is required for participating in the Baby Dedication.
We have Baby Dedications a few times a year, so feel free to start the process to learn about our next Baby Dedication.
BABY DEDICATION F.A.Q.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BABY DEDICATIONS & INFANT BAPTISM?

We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they can then choose to be baptized. Baby Dedication is about your commitment as a parent to lead your child into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, so that as they get older, you are able to guide them to help them understand what that means.
WHAT DOES BABY DEDICATION MEAN FOR PARENTS?

Baby Dedication is more than an event. It is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child. We encourage you to really talk together as parents and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child’s future.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY BABY'S DEDICATION?

Baby Dedication is also a time of CELEBRATION! God has created a new life in this world and that is definitely something to celebrate!
We will celebrate with worship, stories, lots of smiles and a few good laughs. You will have personal time at your table to reflect and share your keepsakes, as well as pray with your pastor, family and friends. We will present you with a certificate of dedication and a special gift for your family.
We want you to enjoy some cake, light hors d’oeuvres with us, and encourage you to take lots of pictures as we’ll have a photographer available to help mark this moment in your life.

Most of all, we want this to be an unforgettable memory of the promise and intention you’ve made to humbly point your child to absolute Hope. We are so excited to pray for you and support you as you raise your child at Journey.
