If you were not able to attend our service last Sunday, you missed one of the greatest weekends I’ve had the chance to experience.
There really is NOTHING LIKE celebrating what God has done and is doing together with your church family! I hope you felt the same way – trust me, you’re going to want to take a few minutes and WATCH IT!
I ended our time together with these words:
“Your pastor is ready… your leadership at this church is ready… we are going after all that God has in store for us – we will risk everything and never give up as long as there are people who need the absolute Hope of Jesus! Are you ready?!”
It’s a powerful thing to stand with my brothers and sisters in Christ – our PARTNERS in mission and ministry – and boldly ask God to ignite passion in our hearts and launch us into His vision for our church.
I’m honored to be your pastor and cannot be more excited about this moment in the life of our church!
In 1 Corinthians 9:22-24, Paul sets and example of what it looks like to respond to the challenge of “We Can’t Stay Here”.
“When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!”
Paul was on a mission. His mission is the same as our: to boldly & humbly point everyone to the absolute hope of Jesus Christ.
What if every one of our friends’ stories were changed by absolute hope? What would happen? What does it take to see that happen?
We believe that if each and every one of us is humbly pointing our friends to absolute hope, we will see God do 3 key things in our church over the next 3 years:
We will open 3 New Campuses.
We will see 3,000 Stories of Life Change.
We will give $300,000 to the LKN Community.
These three things are goals, mile markers if you will, but they aren’t the main point. But why do these mile markers or numbers really matter to us? Because Every One Matters, Every Single Person.
Over the next few weeks, we’re going to talk about RISK. We’re going to talk about stepping out in FAITH.
We’re going to continue to celebrate what God has been doing in our church, all the while understanding that We Can’t Stay Here. WHY? Because we are called to humbly point everyone to absolute HOPE, including our friends, the LKN area, and the world!
As Paul said, we are committed to run to win as a church. Are you with us? Because We Can’t Stay Here.
