Growing always brings CHANGE.
The Church of Jesus Christ is a LIVING THING. It’s either growing and changing or it is stagnant (you can call stagnant things something else… DEAD). Jesus was as clear as could be: GO and make disciples of EVERYONE!
Matthew 28:19
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Churches that experience success have a natural instinct to protect that success and resist change. They become risk adverse because they have much to lose. Meanwhile, church plants, missionaries, para-church organizations, with less to lose are willing to risk everything to innovate, take risks, and even fail in pursuit of the BEST POSSIBLE FUTURE.

In Acts 2, we see a picture of the early church giving EVERYTHING they had in community and GOD was adding to their number daily (verses 42-47). This past weekend, we discussed the parable of the 3 servants (who were entrusted with different amounts according to their ability).
Turns out, ONLY those who risked it all were rewarded. The one who did nothing, simply preserved what was given to him, was not only reprimanded, but cast out!
How did we learn to play it safe when it comes to what God has blessed us with?
When did we start believing THE LIE that God would only hold us accountable for the MARGIN of our lives that we choose to give back to Him?
When did we assume our intentions would matter if we didn’t act on them?
Almost doing something for God is the same as doing nothing for God!
WE ARE STILL A YOUNG CHURCH! Let’s remember: we are on a mission to humbly point everyone to absolute hope & to do that we need to GROW and CHANGE. We’re never going to change our core values, theology, doctrine, or beliefs, but everything else is on the table.
Why? Because God didn’t bless us to this point for us to simply preserve and protect that blessing. He has given each one of us (according to His will) something to risk and leverage to bring Hope to LKN. This requires ACTION. This requires RISK.

What is it going to take to see 3 New Campuses, 3,000 Stories Changed by Absolute Hope, and $300,000 reinvested in the LKN community? In short: everything. But I’m willing to risk what He’s blessed us with in order to launch us into HIS vision for Journey.
Let me ask you this:
