Weekend Preview | What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do- Part 3

Journey Church   -

What an incredible series it has been on prayer. We’ve seen that prayer is an awesome privilege that we’ve been given. An invitation to a seat at the table to engage in conversation with our creator and savior. We’ve looked at the different roles that the Godhead plays in our prayers and how often we don’t understand that God is FOR us and interceding FOR us in our prayers.
But what do we do when prayer doesn’t work?
How do we continually engage in a practice of prayer when we don’t seem to see consistent results in our petitions and intercessory prayers?
The most difficult aspect of our Christian faith is trying to understand why God seems to answer some prayers and not others. Why would God choose to say “no” to a request to heal one of his saints? Why would He allow a circumstance to get continually worse even as we beg Him in prayer to intercede.
Ephesians 3:12 tells us that “In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” However, freedom and confidence are often impossible to feel in the wake of our unanswered prayers, loss, and disappointment.
Join us this Sunday as we finish our series “What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do.” We will look at the key elements that comprise the healthy practice of prayer in our lives, and how to respond in prayer when things don’t seem to change as a result of our prayers.
