Weekend Preview | Between Here And There: Part 2

Hopefully, many of you have already started diving into the book of Nehemiah since we met together last Sunday. It’s a fascinating book, but it’s not an EASY book to get through.
As a matter of fact, I got this text from a Journey partner this week and it made me laugh (so I thought I would share it)!
The truth is, there is SO MUCH we can learn from the story of Nehemiah as we examine what it’s like to be IN THE MIDDLE of our dreams and goals. We all need that BURDEN to drive us forward but we also NEED A PLAN! Not everyone is a natural planner, and that’s okay! I don’t feel like it’s a natural gift for me either. However, we all need a plan to keep us on track.
This weekend, we will be looking at some of the principles that the story of Nehemiah teaches us when it comes to making a plan, working the plan, changing the plan, and re-engaging the plan. I know it will help many of you who feel STUCK in the MIDDLE of some big dreams and goals in your life!
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith…” – Hebrews 12:1b-2a
Even when our commitment is to “run the race set before us”, we all need a plan for HOW we will keep “our eyes fixed on Jesus.”
