Hurricane Helene Response Update

GIVING OPTIONS

We are going to leverage HopeLKN as our giving partner for Hurricane Helene Response. We are currently working with 2 organizations to help fund relief efforts. 100% of what you give will be donated directly to WNC relief efforts.

UPDATED: Tuesday, October 18th, 2024

We want to keep you updated with our plans for assisting with the Hurricane Relief happening in Western North Carolina. As always, please continue to join us in prayer for the thousands affected by the storm and for the ongoing efforts to bring restoration and hope into those areas.

Our goal continues to be to share both local (organizing/donating/packing) and deployment (go/serve) opportunities. Of course, if you have already made connections and have opportunities to serve, please continue to do so. Our efforts, in conjunction with some other organizations and churches, are below:

DEPLOYMENT
Samaritan's Purse: We will be RETURNING to serve in the Boone, NC area on Monday, NOVEMBER 11th and Tuesday, NOVEMBER 12th. Both dates will be day trips, meaning we will drive there and back in the same day. Plan to leave from Journey Church at 5:00am and return around 7:00pm. We have availability to take a team of up to 15 people to help with debris cleanup, roof tarping and mud outs. Please sign up below if you are interested in participating.

Moving forward, we are in the process of partnering with a church in McDowell County to serve and provide resources in Old Fort, NC. As they make us aware of their needs, we will continue to provide you with information of how we can come alongside them to serve them well.

Thank you again so much for being a church that LOVES and SERVES!
